Meaning behind the name
Sloaf comes from two words:
Sloth - one of the seven deadly sins. Centuries of being told that slowing down is a moral failure, dressed up as a word.
Loaf - as in to loaf about. Said with a curled lip, like doing nothing is something you should be embarrassed by.
Five kids sliding off the back of an armchair never bought any of that. To them, a sloth wasn't lazy - it was the calmest, happiest creature they'd ever seen, entirely unbothered by a world in a hurry. And loafing wasn't a failure to be productive - it was the whole point of a time off.
So we're taking both words back. Not softening them. Not apologising for them. Wearing them as the goal.
